Honda Stepwagon RK5

It's difficult to find out some information on the Stepwagon RK5 so I thought I'd document my findings here for future reference and to help others.

Cabin air/pollen filter

Like most cars, it's in the glovebox. The Honda part number is 80292-SLJ-13. It shares this part with the previous RG Stepwagon and various other models like the Civic and CR-V of similar years.

  1. Firstly, empty the glovebox. If you don't everything will end up on the floor!
  2. Open the glovebox and deteach the soft open arm on the right edge from the glovebox by pushing it away from you (down but also towards the front a little).
  3. Squeeze the glovebox sides inwards at the top part closest to you and open the glovebox further (so that the stops fit through).
  4. The the glovebox can now hang downwards exposing everything behind it. Here you will find a rectangle cover containing the filter above the blower. Simply squeeze the clips inwards and pull the filter housing out towards you. The air flow is top to bottom.
